Praise the LORD Psalm 103
Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His Holy Name. O my soul, how I love the LORD Who is my strength and my whole being. O my beautiful GOD how I love You. You shower me with Your grace and crown me with Your love. I love to sing Your praises and praise Your Holy Name. You are worthy of all praise and all glory belongs to You, O my GOD.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits— I will not forget all that You do for me every day LORD. At night before I sleep, I count my blessings. Your mercies are new every day and You place into my life everything that I need. I praise You O GOD, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
3 Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, O my soul, sing for joy because the LORD has redeemed me. He has taken away the stain of my sins and has cleansed me with His blood. Thank You JESUS for dying for my sins and rising from the dead to show me what living will be when I am home with You. Thank You O my sweet LORD for healing me of all the diseases that ravage my life. By Your stripes I am healed. You take away my pain; You heal me of every disease that controls my body. You cleanse me of all that I have done in my life. You remove from me the stains that my sins have caused me.
4 Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Thank You GOD for Your cross, Your death Jesus, and Your crowning victory over death when You rose from the dead. Thank You for saving me from going to hell. My faith and trust is in You LORD and I pray that my whole life is a thanksgiving for all that You have done for me. Thank You for loving me and not giving up on me. Thank You for having compassion on me to redeem my life with Your cross and resurrection.
5 Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Thank you for satisfying my desires with the blessings that You shower over me. Thank You for healing me so that I can soar like an eagle. Thank You for Your love and mercy over me and making me always feel alive in You.
6 The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. Thank You GOD for Your righteousness that is not the same as the worlds. You are our Creator and Your ways are not our ways. You are all good and Your justice is right. Help me to be patient but firm in teaching Your righteousness and not compromising to what the world thinks is right. Let Your love speak through me as I stand according to Your truth, Your righteousness and Your justice. Help me to bring Your justice to all who are oppressed to the world’s justice.
7 He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel: Thank You for giving us the stories of Moses and Your establishing a covenant with the people of Israel. The Jewish or Old Testament teaches us the foundation of our Christian faith. We as Christians are connected with the Jewish people and the teachings that God gave to them. Their story is our story, their God is our God. God, thank You for making known to Moses and to us, what You are all about. Some people try to dismiss Your truths that You gave to Moses but we know that You do not change and neither do Your ways. You gave Your law through Moses and he taught the people what you taught him. Help us to learn from Your Word Your ways and let Your deeds done to the people of Israel teach us. Let us learn that You disciplined Israel after You brought them out of the land of slavery and freed them, and then they fell into idol worship as You were teaching Moses Your way, Your truth and Your life. They had to wander forty years before You brought them into the Promise Land. But during that time, You provided for all of their needs and kept them safe. You taught them and protected them and when they entered the Promise Land, they did so in Your glory.
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious; slow to anger, abounding in love. And even though Moses and the Israelites struggled in following Your way, You never left them. You could not understand why they had such a hard time following Your way and wanted to start over but Moses asked for Your mercy and You of course granted it. Their story is our story. God has been teaching us since He came to earth and became human. Jesus, God, came to earth as a human to teach us His way, His truth and His life, since we just did not get it. The Israelites were to be the ones to be the example of what You wanted God, but they did not and still do not get what You are about. They did not recognize Your coming. And even now, two thousand years since You died for our sins, many people, including Jewish people still do not know you. But You are compassionate and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in love. You have been teaching us LORD; open the eyes of our hearts LORD to You and bring us to have faith in You. Help us to learn that You Jesus are the way, the truth and the life and that we can only go to the Father through You. Let us recognize that our longings for fixing our lives is a longing to come to know You and to make You are LORD and Savior. Thank You GOD for being compassionate and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in love. Help us to realize that the time is short and Your return is soon. Let us get our houses in order, and place our faith in You.
9 He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever; Your Word teaches us that even though You may be angry with us because we are blind to see You, You did not keep on accusing us but decided to become one of Your creations and so You started Your life as a human baby and grew up human, discovering life as a human and teaching us that it is possible to resist the devil and to be perfect as You are perfect. Thank You for taking our punishment for our sins and dying the death we deserve. We have broken faith with You. God teach us to number our days and to surrender our lives to You.
10 He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. GOD, I am so thankful that You do not treat me as I deserve. I am a sinner but You redeemed me and set me free. Your cross and Your resurrection have bought me my place with You. I long to go home to be with You always. I am so thankful that when You teach me that I am wrong when I sin, that You do not punish me as I deserve. I believe in You, I hope in You, I trust in You and I rely on You to continue to be my LORD and Savior. Thank You, Thank You for Your cross and resurrection and for not making me die in my sin; that You always hold me in the palm of Your hand and that Your love is amazing.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; Thank You GOD for Your love. I adore You and I praise You because of Your wonderful love. I am in awe of You and honor You with the greatest praise and adoration that You deserve. You are above all and I am Yours. You are the most important part of my life. Please help me to always walk in Your love and to fear losing You if I walk back into sin. Thank You that if I do fall, You are there to lift me up and help me to walk in Your way, Your truth and Your love. Your love is so amazing and is higher than the heavens and wider than the sky. Thank You for placing in me Your Holy Spirit so that You are always with me to teach me to forsake sin and to walk in Your ways and in Your love.
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. How amazing it is to think that because of Your cross and resurrection, my sins are gone and I am washed clean by Your blood Jesus. You took my sin away and are creating in me a pure heart and are always renewing a steadfast spirit of faith in You. Thank You GOD for dying for me and loving me so much. Sometimes it is hard to understand how and why You love me considering how far I fell before I reached for Your hand and You pulled me up and set my feet upon You my Rock. Your love lifts me and covers me. Thank You Jesus!
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; Sometimes I wonder about the word fear. You have given me understanding through Your Holy Spirit that fear is to live in awe and wonder of Your love. You have made me realize that Your Word is Your love story as our parent. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what being a parent means, but You have taught me that You are my parent and that no matter what, You love me. And I have done some things that have made You cry. I am sorry for that GOD. You have made me understand how You feel as a parent and how difficult it is to be a parent. When we are not walking with You as parents, we are not being parents to our own children. When we walk separate from You in our lives, we walk as though we are dead because we are. We are dead to Your love and Your mercy and Your grace. Help us to learn to walk in Your love, Your mercy and Your grace. Thank You for being my compassionate Father, always giving me Your best and blessing me with Your love, Your mercy and Your grace. Thank You that through Your compassion on me, I am learning to be compassionate towards others. Thank You for having enough compassion for me to discipline me when I fail You. Thank You that Your love never fails me and is always there for me. Thank You for being my Father, Who art in heaven. Holy is Your Name.
14 for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust. Thank You GOD for remembering how You formed us from the dust and that we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye into a glorious resurrected body that You will give us. We thank You that after You died, You rose from the dead and appeared to show that our bodies will rise from the dead and be like Your resurrected body. Thank You for coming to earth to show me the way to You. Thank You for knowing that we are human and frail, and fallen and weak. Thank You for showing us that when we believe in You JESUS, that our faith that You are GOD and love us and died for our sins will bring us home to You. Thank You Jesus for returning home until we are ready for Your return. Thank You JESUS for going home to prepare a place for us. Oh, how I want to go home.
15 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; Thank You for teaching us that our lives here on earth is only a passing moment compared to the life that we will have with You when we go home. We are here on earth to learn how to love You and to walk in Your love. Thank You for teaching us that our lives here on earth is fleeting and that when we die to this body, we will be resurrected to a perfect body and a perfect life with You in our heavenly home.
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. Thank You for blowing Your Spirit through us and blowing the cobwebs of this life out of us. GOD You love us and died for our sins and we turn to You and make You our LORD and Savior so that we will not perish in hell. Thank You for making our faith in You stronger. We can move the mountains of our lives with You and You alone. Help us to come to You because we cannot move without You. Blow over our sins and teach us to stop sinning. By Your cross Jesus our sins are gone.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children— Thank You GOD that Your love is forever, from everlasting to everlasting. We thank You for Your love living in us and that we live in awe of You and that we have nothing to fear because Your pure love drives out fear. When we walk in Your love, we show others how amazing it is to walk in Your righteousness and love. Your love is always with us and Your righteousness guides as we carry our cross with You. Teach us as parents that when we walk with You and teach our children to walk with You, we are following You as our parent, always teaching us until the day we go home to You. Teach us to be self-less, leaving our selfish desires behind as we raise our children to adulthood, and keep us strong to continue to teach our children even when they are adults.
18 with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts. Thank You GOD for teaching me through Your Word what Your covenant is and what Your precepts are. Thank You Father for helping me stand strong in a world that listens to the devil and his lies. Thank You for giving me the discernment to understand Your Word. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that guides me and teaches me Your truth. It saddens me to see Your Word and Your truth compromised in the world today. It saddens me to see people being used by Satan to destroy their eternal lives with his lies. O GOD, please open the eyes of people who are being led to hell by the devil and his lies. O LORD, open their eyes to know that You are the one true GOD and that the day is coming when You will be returning LORD Jesus. The day is near and it seems no one is listening. GOD, please continue to help me teach Your truths in a world that denies You.
19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. Our Father, Who art in heaven, holy is Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. You created this world and You created us, to show us a glimpse of what is to come. Your kingdom is for all eternity and You purchased our lives with Your blood. Teach us to know You and to love You, to walk in Your ways and not in the world’s way. Teach us that Your kingdom is above everything here on earth. Your rules, not our rules is what should be for our lives. Help us to stand strong in following You and to be true to You with our whole lives. Let us stand for what You stand for.
20 Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His Word. How wonderful it must be for the angels to always be worshipping You and following all that You want them to do. Teach us to be like angels, so that when we come home, we will be praising You. Teach us to do Your bidding, Your will for our lives here on earth. Teach us to obey You and Your Word. Your Word cannot be broken, You way cannot be stopped, Your truth will never change and Your life Jesus be our guide for our lives. Let us not compromise to the world’s standard, but stand firm in You. Teach us always to obey You.
21 Praise the Lord, all His heavenly hosts, you His servants who do His will. We thank You for the angels who do Your will. We thank You that You have commanded them concerning us, to guard us in all of our ways. That in their hands they lift us up so that we do not dash our feet against the stone. Let us praise You LORD with our lives and prepare ourselves to be like the angels doing Your will in our lives. Thank You for Your angels as guides for us, to prepare for going home to You.
22 Praise the Lord, all His works everywhere in His dominion. Thank You for wanting to praise You. We are the works of Your hands. There is no place where you are not there; there is no place where we can hide from You for everywhere is Yours. We praise You and we surrender our lives to You.
Praise the Lord, my soul. Praise the LORD, O my soul. Praise His Holy Name. Praise Him in the morning, and praise Him with every breath. My soul longs for You LORD in a dry and weary place. This world holds nothing for me. You hold everything for me. I am Yours. Thank You for loving me and never leaving me or forsaking me. Thank You for coming to earth. Thank You for Your cross and for Your resurrection. Come LORD JESUS! I want to go home!
